The Best in Child Care, Infant Care, and Early Education

Community Involvement

At Fort Langley Learning Centre, we focus on establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, and other organizations. Through this, we continue to achieve the goals of our society. Our involvement in the surrounding communities enhances the society’s profile.

We are strong advocates on behalf of quality early childhood education and care. Our mission is to inform the public about what constitutes this level of quality care.

Parent Involvement

We offer 4 parent education evening workshops per year on a variety of topics, with childminding included. We offer family nights to encourage networking and relationships between families. Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) is a family affair; we offer a light snack and childminding to encourage parent involvement.

Children’s Profile in the Community

The children in the 3 to 5 program take part in the Fort Langley Library story time sessions and have some opportunities throughout the year for field trips and walks around the community.

Our Primary and Intermediate School Age Programs take advantage of all Fort Langley has to offer by exploring and visiting the local area and businesses during their breaks.

Diversity and Inclusion

At Fort Langley Learning Centre, it is important that we teach the children to embrace our own unique differences. It is a place for the children to be open, talk about and appreciate how each family is special in their own ways. We want children to love who they are and know they can celebrate each individual child's uniqueness.

We strive to provide every child what they need to thrive. We help children to feel confident and empowered to explore their world.

Our Early Childhood Educators provide positive and inviting programs by:
  • Providing support for children with varying needs and abilities.
  • Recognizing each child's strengths and offering extra support where needed.
  • Encourage children's natural curiosity and start valuable conversations about the world.
  • Teaching children ways to discuss our similarities and differences in a respectful manner.
